I use clay as a medium to transform digital genetics into abstract art.

The four nucleotide bases (A,C,G,T) are the chemical building blocks of our genomes. Their spectacular chemistry is symbolized in shaped clay as displayed in the image below.

Interesting genetic sequences provide the inspiration.

The sculpted vessels are built by sequentially arranging the clay discs as a continuous string that replicates the genetic code.

The structure or function encoded by each sequence creates the shape.
